The story behind my little painted ponies, how they got their name... "The Crazy Horse Collection," and came to be my logo.

There is just something about stick horses that has always fascinated me. Possibly because I always wanted a horse as a young girl, although that didn't happen until I was older.

About 15 years ago a dear friend asked me if I could create stick horses for the Texas High School Rodeo Association stick horse competition. I balked a bit but ultimately agreed to give it a try. My interpretation, of course, had to have outrageous forelocks and manes, a personality and be made out of leather. The original stick horse looked like the photo shown in all sorts of variations of colors and embellishments. I named them The Crazy Horse Collection.

Fast forward to a year ago when I thought about doing tee shirts. I felt it was important to do my own artwork and that is when I drew my three little horses with the feathers. A wonderful little voice said to me, paint them on leather handbags and cuffs, thus The Crazy Horse Collection was back and reinvented.
