I was told when purchasing this old pawn pendant, the black stone is obsidian. Small, sand-smoothed and shaped pebbles of obsidian are called "Apache Tears." The legend states that the earth cried when an Apache warrior was killed in battle. It is a protective stone and helps protect the soft hearted and gentle people of the world.

Closures are soft deer skin fringe ties so it will adjust perfectly to any neck size.
